FAME MARATHON
On June 14, 2026, FAME Hospital will host its third annual charity Half-Marathon under the theme “Strengthening Trauma and Emergency Care.” Set in the heart of Karatu, this event is expected to go beyond a race. it will serve as a community-driven initiative to raise awareness and mobilize resources for life-saving emergency and trauma services in rural northern Tanzania.
Through this year’s event, we aim to expand access to timely and high-quality emergency care, improve trauma response capacity, and support the procurement of essential medical equipment and training for healthcare providers. By bringing together participants, partners, and supporters, the run is expected to highlight the importance of rapid response systems and preparedness. Strengthening trauma and emergency care will help ensure that individuals receive critical treatment when it matters most, ultimately contributing to safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.
